Which pension plans does the Office of the State Auditor oversee?

The Office of the State Auditor oversees local public pension plans. Because Minnesota has a decentralized pension system, there are about 700 local public pension plans in the State. These plans include about 650 volunteer fire relief association plans, a local salaried fire pension plan, and two large teachers' pension plans. The large plans are the Bloomington Fire Department Relief Association and the St. Paul Teachers’ Retirement Fund Association. The Office of the State Auditor also oversees the investment reporting of the University of Minnesota Supplemental Benefits Plan.
