CTAS 2026 Update 3 Feature Enhancements and Corrected Issues
CTAS 2026 Update 3 includes feature enhancements and fixes for issues experienced in earlier versions. The enhancements and corrections are listed below, organized by CTAS module. Enhancements are denoted by three asterisks (***).
If you find an issue with the program not listed on this page, go to the Known Issues page to see if it has been reported or if it has not been reported, to find instructions on how to report the issue to our office.
General Function
Error When Creating Numerous Reports in One CTAS Session
Once you open CTAS and it remains open, there is a limit to the number of reports that can be generated in that session. Previously, once that limit was reached, CTAS displayed a general error message. CTAS has been updated to show a more detailed message stating the issue and how to create more reports.
Payroll Module
Payroll Register - Portrait Version ***
In the previous version of CTAS, the portrait version of the Payroll Register was edited to mirror the landscape version. However, users requested that the portrait version be reverted so that individual pay types would be shown again.
Payroll Register - Landscape Version
If only leave time hours (sick, vacation, comp, or ESST) were entered into a created payroll, the landscape payroll register was showing the hours as both regular wages and leave time wages, doubling the gross pay. This issue has been corrected.
Paycheck/stub ***
The pay rate was displaying as XXXXX if the amount exceeded 6 digits.
The reimbursement amount was also missing a commas if over $1,000. Both of these issues have been corrected.
ESST Beginning Balance ***
Since 2025 was the first year for ESST, the beginning balance was disabled. Now that employees may have beginning balances in 2026, this field has been enabled when ESST is accrued by the hour.
Error When Editing ESST Accrued Adjustment
Some users received an error message stating the max accrual for the year was exceeded when trying to adjust ESST, even though the employee had not exceeded the ESST max accrual for the year. This issue has been corrected.
Reports Module
Proposed Budget Report ***
In previous versions of CTAS, the Proposed Budget Report only allowed users to create the report one fund at a time. An option has been added so that all funds can be run in one report.
Schedule 2
The Schedule 2 was displaying twice account numbers in the 46000 to 46999 range. In addition, accounts in the 49000 to 49299 and 49400 to 49999 ranges were only displaying if they had a capital outlay object code. Schedule 2 has been corrected,
Schedule 8 ***
Schedule 8 was displaying ###### because certain fields were limited in the number of characters that could be displayed. The fields have been expanded to display up to 10 digits.
The investment ID has also been added to this report.
1099 NEC and MISC
The 1099 NEC and 1099 MISC were not including disbursement entries that had program codes in the account coding. Both reports have been updated.
