Both the Full Install and the Update of CTAS Version 8.3 include fixes for the issues which are listed on this page. The issues are organized by module.

Accounting Module

Receipts

  • When adding or editing a receipt, deleting a row from the Account Distribution grid by pressing the Delete key on the keyboard will not perform all the actions that pressing the Delete Selected Records button does. This can result in unexpected behavior. It is recommended that the Delete Selected Records button be used.

Claims

  • Pressing the tab key does not advance the active field to the next field in all instances. The tab order is incorrect.

  • When adding or editing a claim, deleting a row from the Account Distribution grid by pressing the Delete key on the keyboard will not perform all the actions that pressing the Delete Selected Records button does. This can result in unexpected behavior. It is recommended that the Delete Selected Records button be used.

Disbursements

  • When adding or editing a disbursement, deleting a row from the Account Distribution grid by pressing the Delete key on the keyboard will not perform all the actions that pressing the Delete Selected Records button does. This can result in unexpected behavior. It is recommended that the Delete Selected Records button be used.

Cash

  • If one or more receipts has a date in the Deposit Date / ID field in the wrong format (ie 01/01/ 13) a System Exception will occur when opening the Deposits in Transit window.

  • Oustanding checks in the Outstanding Checks window are not in the expected order.

Payroll Module

Employee

  • No validation that prevents saving an employee record when a payroll period is not selected for fields where there is a payroll period option (eg. Health Insurance, Cafeteria, Other Deductions, etc.). If the payroll period is missing the amounts for the associated fields will not transfer to new payroll periods.

  • Additional pretax deductions are not included in either total deductions or gross pay calculation.

  • Adding and then assigning other roles to an employee is confusing and sometimes results in duplicate roles being created.

  • Having negative sick or vacation time will prevent an employee record from being opened.

Payroll

  • Rounding issues that would result in net pay being rounded incorrectly by 1 cent.

  • Employer share of dental insurance is displaying in the health insurance field and the employer share of health insurance is displaying in the dental insurance field.

Investments Module

Investments

  • Changing the amount of a withdrawal or deposit will only change the associated receipt or disbursement detail amount but will not update the receipt or disbursement total amount.

Reports Module

Receipts

  • Unable to view Receipt Ledger if a receipt contains a note greater than a certain number of characters.

  • Transactions occurring on the beginning date selected for the Receipts Ledger are listed as a transaction for the selected period but are also included in the Prior Transactions total.

Disbursements

  • Transactions occurring on the beginning date selected for the Disbursements Ledger are listed as a transaction for the selected period but are also included in the Prior Transactions total.

Tax Filing

  • In some rare instances some employee's earnings record may not be included in the calculations for the 941.

Payroll (Year to Date)

  • In some rare circumstances some employees will not be included in the Employee Earnings Record report.
